When
Celia Quinn, artistic director of the Bridgeton Repertory Theater,
discovers a group of poems "written by a special hand,"
she springs into action to transpose these poems, which are based
on the biblical characters of David and Jonathan, into a play. Casting
Derrick, a well-established actor along side of a young, naïve
Zach, Celia is unaware that both men are the antithesis of the picture
of friendship found between their stage counterparts. Derrick is
put off by Zach's faith orientation, and Zach is equally uncomfortable
with Derrick's sexual orientation. Will the two men move past their
differences to find brotherly love? Or will Celia force her own
dramatic interpretation of the bond between the two men, as a tribute
to the mysterious author of the poems?
