Within presents the United States Premiere of Three On the Seesaw
by Luigi Lunari (English text by Maggie Rose). July 13 - August 6, 2000. NEW!!! Check out these pictures from the show. Three
men, three doors, three addresses, all for the same place. Coincidence?
This British comedy challenges three outlandishly different men to
consider that the hereafter might be as easy as stepping through a
doorway. Show History: "Three on the Seesaw" - written and produced in 1990 in Italy - is one of the biggest successes on the European stage. Up to this moment (January 1998) it has been translated in thirteen languages, which is a very remarkable achievement for a play written in such a peripheral language as Italian is. Produced in Paris in November 1994 (after a wonderful success at Avignon Festival) it has been published in French on "Avant-scène" and in English on "Plays International": it immediately entered the program of many theatres in Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, etc. Production Credits: (all the following are different productions: tournées or visits in other towns are not counted here. Only professional productions are listed) October 1990 Accademia dei Filodrammatici, Milan, Italy July 1994 Festival d'Avignon (Pierre Santini Company), France November 1994 Théâtre La Bruyère (idem) Paris, France June 1995 Teatro Malaposta, Lisbon, Portugal October 1996 Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Germany December 1996 Stadteater Stockholm, Sweden December 1996 Zimmertheater Heidelberg, Germany April 1997 Raamteater Antwerp, Belgium June 1997 Stadttheater Nürnberg, Germany August 1997 Zimmertheater Düsseldorf, Germany August 1997 Theater der Altstadt, Stuttgart, Germany September 1997 Theater die Insel, Karlsruhe, Germany November 1997 Kellertheater, Winterthur, Switzerland December 1997 Civic Theater, Helsinki, Finland January 1998 Teatro Tordinona, Rome (Italy) January 1998 Comédie Claude Volter, Bruxelles (Belgium) February 1998 Divadlo bez Zebradlì, Prague (Czek Republic) |
