Art Within - - Process: Resources

The 1st Annual Art Within Symposium and Showcase was a huge success!! Take an inside look at this landmark event!
THE PURPOSE Art Within's mission is to fill the void of the lack of writers and scripts that can uniquely blend Hope and Truth with well-told stories for our contemporary culture. The purpose behind Art Within's Symposium & Showcase is to provide a central gathering for: 1) scriptwriters to experiment and explore how to evolve the collective and individual voice of the writer-of-faith 2) producers to find the latest and greatest new scripts coming out of Art Within's new work development process.
	THE SHOWCASE Over the next five years, Art Within will be commissioning 23 scripts for the stage and screen that will be showcased each year in this fall event. The goal is to be a catalyst for the creation of a distribution network of over 50 producing organizations. This will translate into more venues for Hope and Truth to reach audiences and our culture, at large.
THE SYMPOSIUM Because of the massive influence the media/arts have on our lives and worldviews, we believe the screenwriter/playwright has the greatest opportunity to impact our culture with Hope and Truth. Unfortunately, there are few places that allow writers to come together and explore how to blend their faith and their art effectively. Art Within's symposium is a chance for the brightest and most promising writers-of-faith to gather and, through daily think tanks and nightly readings of their works, experiment with how to craft well-told stories that are informed and infused with the writer's faith.
